Colleen Moore
President
Colleen was inspired to set up a charity to help Russian orphans during her first trip to Russia to adopt
her eldest son in 2006. Together with other adoptive parents, she set up Helping Orphans in
2008. Colleen brings sound management experience to the executive team and has a strong personal commitment
and the passion to ensure that our vision gets executed. She has over 20 years experience as a consultant
and in senior management positions in both the private and public sectors and holds an MBA from McGill
University. Colleen and her husband completed their family with the adoption of their second son from Russia
in January 2009.

Jimena Martinez
Vice-President & Treasurer
Jimena is a Chartered Accountant with over 20 years of experience in all aspects of finance and accounting including
strategic planning, budgeting, internal and external reporting, internal audit, tax and treasury, mergers and
acquisitions, research and development, and risk management. She has been an active member on boards of directors
for over five years.

Kristine Taylor-Lee
Secretary
Kristine brings a breadth of operational, policy and corporate management expertise with over 11 years as a policy
analyst at the federal and local government levels. She has worked as a volunteer for a number of local charities
and has demonstrated her passion for Helping Orphans through her volunteer fundraising efforts. Kristine holds a
bachelor degree from the University of Victoria in Geography and Environmental Studies, and Master's Degree from
Queen's University in Urban and Regional Planning. Kristine spends her spare time with her husband and son, and
travels to Victoria, B.C. regularly, to visit her family and hometown.

Lewis Retik
Member
Lewis Retik is a partner at Gowlings, Lafleur, Henderson practising primarily in the area of corporate commercial
and regulatory law. Lewis practice focuses on regulatory and commercial issues relating to the commercialization
of products, including product distribution, manufacturing, advertising, packaging and labelling, and regulatory
licensing. Lewis and his wife adopted two boys from Russia in 2008.
